Here are some final garden photos for the 2023 year. The sunflowers were holding on, but the tops were dying from the birds feasting on them. They were looking very spooky, just in time for the Halloween season! I pulled all the sunflower soldiers (easily over 100 stalks) and will let them dry out so they weigh much less before I dispose of them. Plus, the birds can still enjoy them. 🌻😊🪶 The raspberries just couldn’t withstand the colder Fall temps we got recently. All in all, it was a dismal season for garden food production this year, aside from the fabulous sunflowers – which were all volunteers from last year, meaning that none of them were planted this year! I’m hopeful they will return on their own again next year. Until then… Happy Fall!
Goodbye Garden
